GRANT ALERT: National Landcare Program – Environment Small Grants

The Australian Government’s National Landcare Program – Environment Small Grants is currently accepting applications for natural resource management activities that improve the quality of the environment.

Grants of up to $50,000 are available for 100% of eligible project expenses.

Eligibility

Applications are open to community, environment and other groups who are a legal entity and have an ABN (trusts are not eligible to apply). Eligible projects must include one or more of the following activities:

  • Weed treatment
  • Access management
  • Fencing
  • Erosion management
  • Revegetation
  • Education activities and raising community awareness/participation
  • Pest or disease management
  • Indigenous land and sea country planning
  • Recording of indigenous ecological knowledge
  • Project related administration support

The maximum grant period is 12 months.

Assessment criteria

To be competitive you must score highly against the following criteria:

  • The extent to which your project contributes to improving the quality of the environment through natural resource management activities; and
  •  Your capacity, capability and resources to deliver the project.

Closing date  

Applications will close at 5pm AEDT on 19 March 2018.
