Our people share their stories

Hear real experiences from our people who started at SW as a graduate and are at different points in their career.

Abi Chellapen, Partner, Tax

“I feel lucky to have spent my career from graduate to partner at SW. It’s been a great experience – full of challenges, growth, fun, and plenty of opportunities.

What I’m most grateful for are the opportunities I was given throughout my career here. As a junior, I was given the opportunity to be involved in various projects – whether it was to be the person in charge of getting across tax legislative change and being the go-to person in that space or to work closely with a manager/partner on large client projects. If you embrace the opportunities given, it’s easy to succeed at SW.”

Emily Lowe, Assistant Manager, Tax

I joined SW as a graduate in 2023 and since that time I have found there is an incredibly supportive workplace here. There are constantly opportunities for professional development and learning support, whether through CA/CPA support or professional skills developments. We are always encouraged here to take opportunity to expand our skills and knowledge. I have also found that the managers and team here are very supportive of career progression and will work with you to help you achieve your career goals from the beginning “

Jacob Roumanos, Consultant, Assurance and Advisory

“My time at SW started with the graduate program, which gave me a strong foundation through technical audit training and soft-skill development. Since then, I’ve had plenty of opportunities to keep building on that through ongoing workshops and technical updates led either by internal or external professionals. One of the standout experiences was the national grad retreat in Melbourne. This was an opportunity to connect with the wider team, combining learning with great experiences. It’s been a rewarding journey of growth from the very beginning and I’m eager to see what’s next.”
