Formerly Moore Stephens Melbourne 

SW was formerly Moore Stephens Melbourne, a firm that has its origins as HF&R in 1935 and has enjoyed an 80-year history of delivering exceptional service for Australian businesses. Over that time, we have built a reputation for our service, quality and commitment to the growth and success of our clients. We are proud to have created many long standing relationships that have often extended into decades and sometimes generations. On 1 February 2015, Moore Stephens Melbourne became ShineWing Australia. 

Statement of Intention to support Reconciliation and Modern Slavery

SW is committed to Reconciliation and is currently developing a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), together with a voluntary modern slavery statement. This forms part of our adoption of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and framework that we believe will support inclusion, create opportunities of employment and support cultural safety of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people within our firm.

Supporting our communities, people & clients

In professional services, the mental health and safety of our people is of utmost priority. This is not only driven by our Partners, but also by the staff and has particularly came to the fore during COVID-19 when we launched The Resilience Project.

Corporate Social Responsibility: Co2 Committee

 Our Co2 Committee provide a platform for our people to engage with and improve the lives of those less fortunate than themselves. It is also our aim to promote teamwork, work-life balance, empathy and compassion, increase team morale, commitment and truly live our values beyond our work environment.

 Mental Health is a contributing factor for many issues faced by Australians. In recognition of this, our annual staff and partner survey consistently demonstrates our desire to ensure that we show our support to assisting each other and organisations that support those that experience mental illness or health challenges, closely followed by Children and those experiencing homelessness.

 The major community programs we support each year are listed below. Beyond fundraising, our focus is on bringing to light the stories of our own people managing adversity and showing resilience.

Vinnies CEO Sleepout

Since participating in 2017, our people have raised over $185,000 in donations for this great cause. A significant portion of people experiencing homelessness are elderly, with a 28% increase in Australians aged 55+ experiencing homelessness between 2011 and 2016.

Health & wellness

For the past three consecutive years, when surveyed, all staff have nominated mental health as the number one priority for our firm’s engagement and corporate social responsibility focus.

Our ‘Community Opportunities Together’ group activates and promotes corporate social responsibility. During our mental health quarter from September to December each year we are involved in: RU OK Day?, Liptember (Women’s Mental Health), Mental Health Month (Walks, Mindfulness and meditation, Coffee breaks) and Movember.

R U OK Day?

We participate in R U OK Day each year to raise awareness of mental health and the important of asking each other and our staff. This involves running an initiative that encourages our staff to spend time together.

This has included a cookies and conversation morning tea in each of our offices, a free coffee at the local café to encourage staff to leave the office and talk with their colleagues and recognising the day to raise awareness via internal communications.
