In August, 181 of the 193 members of the US Business Roundtable, signed a new statement of its principles of corporate governance. The Sydney Morning Herald cited that the existing statement no longer accurately described the way CEOs strive to create value for all stakeholders. Addressing the long term interests of all stakeholders is now thought to directly include issues such as diversity, social inclusion and the environment. This new statement has significant ramifications for corporate governance in Australia.
Our expert speaker Rob Gell AM, Principal Consultant, ShineWing Australia will provide insights on the changing nature of corporate governance, with an ever increasing focus on sustainability. Our panel will be moderated by David Lynch, Principal Consultant, ShineWing Australia, will explore the complexity of issues corporations now face and provide insights on how leading enterprises are responding.
A light lunch will be served and there will be an opportunity to network with Club members and guests.
